Community Preparedness
Will you be ready when the next blizzard hits and the local
grocery stores are closed for business? Preparedness begins locally and the
following links provide some food for thought (no pun intended). As a community
we can either be a burden to society and wait for help or take matters into our
hands by working individually and collectively.
The spectrum of preparedness goes from having a simple fire
escape plan for your house to building a nuclear fallout shelter. For us here in
Falcon View, the likely events we will confront include Blizzards, wind storms,
ice storms, wild fires, tornados, and droughts.
Answers to questions such as what do I do to if a pandemic flu
hits Colorado Springs need to be understood today...not during a crisis.
